ECCE class from 2.8 years to 5 years. ASD 3yrs to 6 years. Afterschool for children in Primary schools. The afterschool club collects from St Philips at this time. Our mission is to provide a safe and caring environment for our children. We aim to provide a holistic approach to learning where it encompasses not only mental development but also psychological, social and emotional growth.
ASD & ECCE Classes
Children work in small pods. The ratio is 5 students to 3 teachers in an ASD class and 1 teacher to 11 children in an ECCE classroom. Children are engaged in a naturalistic environment and learn in a fun way through games, songs and Montessori materials. Children learn through exploring, plenty of unstructured play, by listening, hearing, feeling, reading etc. |

A word from the Centre Manager
Hello. I’m Raj. I hail from Malaysia. I obtained my Bachelor of Education with Honours degree in Malaysia and taught both in the primary and secondary sector for 10 years before moving to Ireland. In 2004, I completed MA in Education with a Honours degree from UCD, Dublin. Since then, I have been subbing in various mainstream schools in Tallaght. In 2016, I joined Hope with the hope of gaining knowledge and experience working with children with autism. My Godson was diagnosed with autism and he inspired me to take on this new role. I’ve always had a passion for teaching. It is so rewarding to watch a child master a program or to be able to work independently with confidence. To be able to empower children to make a difference in the world is the greatest joy. As a Centre Manager, I thrive to give children the best possible education, taking into account the child’s potentials and interests by providing an environment that allows children to grow and thrive as individuals. Our Centre provides an inclusive caring environment which fosters collaborative learning and respectful and positive relationships among peers, staff and the community. We have a team of dedicated and committed teachers to fulfill our vision and mission. Our emphasis is on cross curricular, subject themed Montessori inspired approach to teaching with emphasis on balancing personal growth, academic success, creative expressions and sport. Our Centre believes in working side by side with our children’s families and have open communication with them. Together as a team, we can raise children to their highest potential. Thank you to all staff and parents for your support. Warmest regards, Rajeswary Karuppiah Centre Manager, Mountview, Dublin 15 |
Extra-Curricular Activities
We engage children in extra-curricular activities such as swimming, horse riding, gymnastics and fun with food. Extra-curricular activities will give children the chance to build their self-confidence and self- esteem. It also improves their social skills.
At our Centre, we aim to promote integration and diversity. Many of our children come from different ethnicity and therefore it is important to create an environment where they feel belonged. We celebrate different festivals and get to know about other people’s culture and traditions. Children learn to respect and tolerate other people’s culture and traditions. |
HOLI/FESTIVAL OF COLOURS
The festival of colours is celebrated by Hindus to mark the beginning of spring. Children splashed colourful powder on each other and danced to some Bollywood music. ONLINE TEACHING
Halfway through school year, we were hit by the Pandemic. We had to work remotely and engage through online teaching. Although it was something new to everyone, our dedicated teachers embraced online teaching so well and did a great job! The children got used to this method of teaching and progressed very well. Online teaching was a big success at our Centre. A huge thank you to parents too for supporting this platform of learning HALLOWEEN CAMP
